Several activists from Standing Together’s Solidarity Guard were attacked by masked settlers while providing protective presence in Jannatah in the West Bank, alongside activists from Rabbis for Human Rights and Bnei Abraham.

Around 20 settlers came from two nearby outposts and attacked the activists with clubs, pepper spray and stones. Several people were injured.
The activists were in Jannatah to help Palestinian residents prepare for the upcoming olive harvest. The Solidarity Guard provides protective presence in Palestinian communities facing threats and violence in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and inside Israel.
Daniel, one of the activists who was injured, said:
“We were attacked by violent settlers from the Itam and Kochav Yehuda outposts, who came and assaulted us with clubs and stones.”

Standing Together stressed that what the activists experienced is part of the everyday reality faced by many Palestinian families:
“They attacked us today, but this is only a taste of what they do to Palestinian locals. Countless families face this fear and vulnerability every single day.”
Standing Together says that the Solidarity Guard will continue to stand with Palestinian communities facing threats and violence.
