UK Friends of Standing Together strongly criticises the British Green Party’s resolution “Zionism is Racism”, describing it as divisive and counterproductive. While sharing the deep concern over the oppression of Palestinians, the organisation warns that the resolution risks alienating Jewish members of the Green Party, including those who actively oppose Israel’s occupation and military actions.
Instead, UK Friends of Standing Together calls for a political approach based on equality, mutual recognition and solidarity with Palestinians and Jews working together for peace and justice. It supports Standing Together’s vision of two states with confederal ties, equal rights and self-determination for both peoples.
