We are a network of people here in Sweden that want to support and amplify the message of Standing Together, a progressive grassroots movement mobilising Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel against the occupation and for peace, equality, and social justice.
They work both on long-term initiatives to create hope and new political alternatives, as well as on more short-term efforts such as protecting humanitarian aid to Gaza and defending Palestinians in Israel who face harassment and discrimination. They also campaign for a ceasefire in Gaza and a hostage agreement.
We want to translate and spread the material Standing Together puts out, make sure they have a presence on social media in this country, help them collect donations and organise webinars and live events with their spokespeople.
We also want to strengthen ties between people here in Sweden who recognise and oppose both antisemitism and anti-Arab & anti-Muslim racism, and support equal rights for all people in Israel/Palestine.
We are in touch with people engaged in “Friends of Standing Together” networks in the UK and in Belgium and hope to get support and inspiration from them.
