Following Israel’s recent elections, Standing Together is calling on the opposition, which won 48 seats, to cooperate with the Arab parties, which together secured 19 seats. With a combined 67 seats, they could form a Jewish-Arab government. So far, opposition leaders have been unwilling to embrace such cooperation, potentially allowing the right wing to remain in power.
Tens of thousands of Jews and Palestinians have taken to the streets across Israel in demonstrations organized by Standing Together and its partners, demanding a government based on Jewish-Arab partnership.
According to Standing Together, a Jewish-Arab government would be an important step towards breaking the cycle of war and advancing a political solution. Priorities would include tackling organized crime in Palestinian communities, investing in education, healthcare and affordable housing, and giving Palestinian citizens a genuine say in shaping the country’s future.

Standing Together continues to mobilize support and organize protests to press opposition leaders to form a government based on Jewish-Arab cooperation.
“We have shown that Jews and Palestinians can organize, vote and demonstrate together. Now we are fighting for the power to govern together.”
